The school is located in a large office and shopping complex called Kings Place in the center of Downtown Fredericton within footsteps of city hall, nature walking paths, gyms, churches, apartments, banks, restaurants, and grocery stores. Some things you'll find at Kings Place, in addition to our spacious ACTM facility, include: a food court, a restaurant, bank, drug store, clothing and shoe retail stores, gift shops, shoe repair shop, travel agency, hair salons, bakery, post office, physiotherapy clinic, optometrist/spectacles store, doctors' offices, flower shop, coffee shops, and bus terminal. ACTM has a fully functioning clinic with eleven (11) student therapists per hour providing treatments to members of the public. The clinic includes a hydrotherapy room, hydrocollator packs, paraffin wax, assessment tools, e.g. reflex hammers, massage therapy tables, massage therapy chairs, sound system, linens, bolsters, pillows, and oils/lotions. The clinic always has a Registered Massage Therapist on staff to supervise the students. The college offers unique programs that exceed provincial standards such as a Wellness clinic, where students work with persons who have neurological disorders like Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Cerebral Vascular Accidents, and Paralysis, just to name a few. The students also have a special population clinic that works with the geriatric public, physically and mentally challenged, pregnancy and post natal and depression. We have a sports medicine clinic that works directly with the University of New Brunswick Athletic Therapy Department. We have community based programs such as fundraisers for charities, health and women's fairs/exhibits and sporting events. We supply the oils, lotions, and clinic linens for the public clinic. We have a library where students can sign out books, videos, and CD-ROMs. Computers with high speed Internet connections, and other audio-visual equipment and learning aids, such as skeletons are on site. Portable massage tables can be signed out at no charge, and the students can receive massages in the student clinic for free (limit one per week). Family members can come in free also (limit one per week). We also have a kitchen equipped with a large fridge and microwave ovens. There are washrooms and a laundry room for clinic linens.
